Deadline Day 2025: Get All the Latest Transfer Updates Here

Transfer Deadline Day 2025

Anthony to Real Betis, Donnarumma to Manchester City, Jadon Sancho to Aston Villa on loan and so many more deals happening already.

Earlier, we reported that Isak is set to make his move to Liverpool after a £130 million bid was accepted by Newcastle. Still today, Manchester City have accepted Fernabache’s bid for Ederson and the departure of the goalkeeper makes room for Donnarumma who has been in talks with City since he was exiled from the PSG squad by Luis Enrique.

City’s desire to get Donnarumma is very surprising when you consider that Pep likes his goalkeepers to be able to play from the back and that is not what Donnarumma offers. The 26 year old is an incredible shot-stopper but doesn’t provide so much quality as Ederson offers also. We wait to see how Donnarumma fixes City’s woes this season.

Anthony Signs for Real Betis

Anthony spent half of the year on loan at Real Betis where he not only found playing time, he found his rhythm, scoring five goals in 17 matches. He was also instrumental in helping Real Betis get to the UEFA Conference League final which they lost to Chelsea.

At the start of the transfer window talks were underway to get the winger to sign on a permanent deal but there were concerns about the payment and salary structure. The deal was done last week but was called off almost immediately. Today, both teams have agreed on some terms and Anthony would be Real Betis player soon. Manchester United would have a 50% sell-on clause on the player and will receive 22 million euros with 3million in add-ons.

Wissa to Newcastle, Done Deal

Letting Isak fast-tracked the deal for Wissa who was already interested in joining Newcastle. Wissa had already made his intentions known about desiring a move away from Brentford and his preferred destination was Newcastle. The magpies needed to get Isak out first before the deal with Wissa could be processed.

The total package for Isak is £55 million.

Sancho Joins Aston Villa on Loan

After rejecting Chelsea, AS Roma, and several other interests around Europe, Sancho has decided to accept a move to Aston Villa. It was believed that Manchester United were discussing a swap deal with Aston Villa that will see goalkeeper Martinez join the Reds and Sancho joining Villa but the loan deal for Sancho came up as a separate discussion.

Martinez or Lammens as New Manchester United Goalkeeper

Martinez or Lammens could be the next shot-stopper at United as talks have continued today. Lammens from Royal Antwerp was the preferred choice for United but as Deadline Day approached, United considered Emi Martinez who has fallen off the pecking order at Villa. Either one of both players will be signed to go fix the goalkeeping issues Manchester United have been facing.

Marc Guiu Returns to Chelsea

Marc Guiu was loaned to newly promoted Sunderland but with injuries to Liam Delap and the exits of Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, the former Barcelona man has been called back after formal approvals were issued by Sunderland.

Nicolas Jackson Deal with Bayern Munich Could Still be On

Nicolas Jackson agreed to Bayern’s deal for a season-long loan after Chelsea signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. He was already on his way to Bayern to sign his contract when Liam Delap had a muscle injury in the first half of Chelsea’s fixture vs Fulham. This prompted the London club to recall Jackson but the player and his agent remained adamant, obviously feeling disrespected by the club.

Bayern Munich also agreed to hold the deal off pending when Chelsea makes a full decision on the striker. But with Marc Guiu returning from Sunderland, it looks like Jackson to Bayern Munich is likely going to stay on.

Serge Lammens is a New Manchester United Goalkeeper

Earlier today, we announced that there are negotiations between Manchester United, Martinez, and Senne Lammens. David Ornstein reports that Royal Antwerp have agreed to the 21 million euros deal for the 23 year old. The Belgium is flying in now for his medical. Official confirmation set to follow soon. Aston Villa is now going to need a different solution for Martinez and Fabrizio reports that Galatarasay are in talks for the Argentine goalkeeper.

Marc Guehi Signs for Liverpool

Crystal Palace captain and England International has signed for Liverpool for a fee of £35 million. The Eagles have also added a 10% sell-on clause in the package.

Chelsea Renegotiates New Loan Bid for Jackson with Bayern Munich

While it looked like Chelsea would be calling back Jackson after he and his agent landed in Germany to sign their contracts with the Bavarians, it looks like they capitalized on the player’s insistence to join Munich and the club’s desire to have him. The new deal is a higher loan offer with an obligation to buy. Bayern has agreed to the terms and Jackson can go ahead with signing for Munich.

Crystal Palace May Cancel Guehi’s Deal in the Last Minute

It was reported a done deal, Guehi to Liverpool, and the defender has completed his medical at Liverpool already but David Ornstein reports that Crystal Palace consider backing out of the deal because they have not been able to sign a replacement in the final hours of Deadline Day. There is so much unfolding in the dying minutes.
