Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been formally presented with four Guinness World Records certificates recognizing the stunning achievements he has earned playing for both club and country.
The 26 year old Norwegian was given the awards at the Etihad Stadium for records he holds in the Premier League, Champions League and UEFA Nations League.
Guinness World Records presented him with the achievements to officially recognize what he has done and achieved so far in his playing career. .

Fastest player to score 100 Premier League goals
Haaland’s goal against Fulham on December 2, 2025 was his 100th Premier League goal and that was his 111th PL appearance. This made him the fastest player in EPL history to reach 100 goals overtaking Alan Shearer who did it in 124 matches.
For other Premier League stars, it took Harry Kane 141 games to get to 100 goals, Sergio Aguero 147 games and Thierry Henry, 160 matches.
According to the Premier League’s official breakdown, Haaland effectively removed about 12 per cent from Shearer’s record which he set in 1995.

After the 100th goal in December 2025, Haaland went on to add 12 more goals and 24 assists.
Currently, he is averaging 0.85 goals per game or one goal in every 1.18 appearances as per his official Premier League profile.
Record-breaking 36-goal debut season
Haaland moved to the Premier League from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 and has since been giving PL clubs a run for their money.
In his opening campaign, he scored 36 goals in the EPL which was a record for any player in the 38-game PL season.
Previously, the most goals in the PL season was held by Mo Salah with 32 goals scored for Liverpool in the 2017/18 season.
Andy Cole and Alan Shearer both had a 34-goal record for a PL season but then the EPL had 42 matches.
Haaland ended that unforgettable debut campaign with 52 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions. He was instrumental in helping Manchester City win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League Treble.
His dominance has continued.
The Norwegian scored 27 goals in 35 league appearances during the 2025/26 campaign to claim his third Premier League Golden Boot in four seasons, according to Manchester City.
Nations League’s all-time leading scorer
The third recognition he got was for being the UEFA Nations League all-time leading goalscorer.
He has scored 19 goals in 15 Nations League appearances for Norway with hattricks against Romania in 2020 and Kazakhstan in 2024.
This means he is 4 goals ahead of his closest challengers, Cristiano Ronaldo and Aleksandar Mitrović who both have 15 goals.

His 19 goals came between September 2020 and November 2024, with seven scored during the 2024/25 edition alone.
Five goals in one Champions League match
Haaland’s fourth Guinness certificate recognises his five-goal performance in Manchester City’s 7-0 victory over RB Leipzig on March 14, 2023.
He scored in the 22nd, 24th, 45th, 53rd and 57th minutes before being substituted in the 63rd minute. The performance made him only the third player to score five goals in a single Champions League match.
Lionel Messi first achieved the feat for Barcelona against Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, while Luiz Adriano matched it for Shakhtar Donetsk against BATE Borisov in 2014. The three players continue to share the official UEFA record.
That five-goal display is only one part of Haaland’s remarkable Champions League story. He currently has 57 goals in 58 appearances in the competition:

He is also the fastest player to reach 20, 30, 40 and 50 Champions League goals. Guinness World Records has selected Haaland for the cover of its Football Edition 2027, underlining how quickly the Manchester City forward has moved from emerging superstar to one of football’s defining record-breakers.
With 112 Premier League goals, 57 Champions League goals and 19 Nations League goals already to his name, the four certificates are supported by numbers that place him in historically rare territory.
The frightening part for opposing defenders is that Haaland is only 26. His next major targets include Lionel Messi’s record as the quickest player to 60 Champions League goals and the longer-term pursuit of Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260.
For Haaland, the question is no longer whether he will break more records. It is how many will still be standing when he is finished.
