Kylian Mbappe Breaks Thierry Henry’s Goal scoring Record for France National Team

Mbappe surpasses Thierry Henry's goal scoring record for France

In the France vs Iceland match yesterday, Real Madrid’s star Kylian Mbappe broke Thierry Henry’s goal scoring record for the French National Team. The Arsenal legend had scored 51 goals while playing for France but Kylian’s goal against Iceland means he has now scored 52 goals for his country.

Mbappe’s record is even more bizarre when you consider that he did it in 31 less games than Henry. Mbappe has scored 52 goals in 92 appearances for his country. The current holder of the goalscoring record for France is Olivier Giroud who’s currently at 59 goals for France.

Breaking Giroud’s record feels like a possibility for Mbappe. The 26 year old will fancy his chances of scoring more in the three matches in World Cup Qualifying rounds and also finding the net when the World Cup takes place next year.
