Former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen can be considered a Wolfsburg player. The deal is in place and the midfielder is expected to put pen to paper after medical already booked by the club in Germany.
Eriksen left Manchester United at the end of his contract last season as the club did not offer him a new contract. Now as a free agent, Eriksen’s options were limited because of the cardiac arrest he suffered during a Denmark match at Euro 2020 which forced him to get an ICD installed in his body, a device designed to regulate his heart rhythm and prevent further fatal cardiac events.
Different leagues have regulations for allowing players with heart conditions to play and this forced the midfielder to join the Premier League and with his transfer to Wolfsburg, it is looking like the Bundesliga does not object to players like Eriksen.
