You would be surprised to know that Sergio Ramos is also a music artist aside from bullying players on the pitch and his special debut is a diss track aimed at Florentino Perez, Real Madrid’s president.
The diss track is titled “” and it was announced on social media by Ramos’ official accounts.
Obviously, Sergio Ramos is not happy about how Florentino Perez treated him in the days leading to his departure from Real Madrid and he’s decided to put his thoughts into a song.
A portion of the song which is in Spanish reads:
It’s a good thing I left
You didn’t treat me the same
One game last 90
I gave you 90+3.
Sergio Ramos joined Real Madrid in 2005 as the first Spanish player that Florentino signed. He rose to captaincy and won 22 trophies with the club. He belongs to an elite list of Real Madrid players who have won the most trophies for the club.
Despite his achievements and the fact that he was a solid member of Real Madrid’s backline, he was hit by the harsh rule set by Perez that stipulates that players from 30 would only have one year contracts. It is widely believed that Perez does not want to commit long term to players above 30 as he believes they are declining from that point.
So, it is either a one-year contract or risk losing your place in the team.
Ramos secured a five-year contract at 29 and when the contract was up, Ramos, now 34, was put on the one year contract. He even said he would play for Real Madrid for free if he needed to.
After the expiration of the one year contract, Ramos and his manager, who happens to be his brother, got interests from PSG who were offering him a two-year contract.
They communicated it with Perez hoping to force him into giving them a two-year contract at Real Madrid instead of the one year contract extension.
Of course, Perez does not budge. He even sees the little ploy as offensive and decides to not offer the one year contract anymore.
So Ramos decides to join PSG.
After his two years contract at PSG, Ramos still tries to force a move to Real Madrid but Perez blocks it and he ends up at Sevilla.
Currently, the defender is in Mexico playing for C.F. Monterrey feels it is time to drop his diss track to speak about his time in Real Madrid and how things ended.
